Max Factor FaceFinity All Day Primer

Hello lovelies!

A primer is now one of the items that is a staple in my makeup application as it prolongs the wear of my makeup. Having oily skin, my makeup melts off in a few hours, especially during the summer, and a primer is one of the solutions for this problem.

I've tried quite a number of primers already and I just continue to try more. Here's one of the primers I recently used:

Max Factor FaceFinity All Day Primer

The regular price is PhP 925.00, but I got it on sale for PhP 650.00.

Product Description:

Info from the website:

The secret of our longwear foundation, facefinity all day primer extends the wear of your favourite foundation, keeping your make-up look in place.

How to Apply: Apply the primer after your moisturiser, using a flat foundation brush and sweeping it over the T-zone.

It's packaged in a clear, glass bottle and the design is very clean and classy. It looks great on the makeup table but it's not something I would carry for travel as it can break because of the bottle's material. It's a bit heavy too.

The pump is easy to use and dispenses an appropriate amount to cover one's face. However, I usually use one to two pumps because I have a big face. Haha!

The product is very mildly scentless. Its smell is almost unnoticeable. It has a milky color and a bit runny in consistency. It has an SPF 20 which is pretty nice to know because I rarely see primers that have sunscreen, although I think SPF 20 is not enough so I still recommend you get a product with at least SPF30.

When you spread it, the area feels smoother and has sort of blurring properties, but very minimal compared to blurring primers like Benefit Porefessional.

It doesn't have that velvety smooth texture like blurring primers too. It has a sort of wet feeling first and then while you blend it, it just feels smoother and lightweight. It doesn't feel like I'm applying a thick layer of cream and once it sets, I noticed that it does make my skin look matte!

Now, to see how it performs:
Here's my face at around 8am.

My face is matte and my large pores on my nose and cheeks looks smaller than normal.

And here's me after 10 hours without blotting or retouching.

So my face is all shiny because I have naturally oily skin, but the foundation stayed. My face got shiny around mid day which is longer than the usual 3 hours. The heavy coverage I applied to hide my acne scars was still in place as well. With some oil blotting, I bet my face would still look good even without retouching because my makeup hardly faded.

I think the primer did help in extending the wear of my foundation. It also help prevent caking, which I experience on the jaw area where I apply more concealer/foundation.

I think it's a pretty decent product. It can be a bit pricey for a drugstore item, but I got it at a discount so yay! It's easy to use, feels lightweight and smooth, and delivers positive results. Is it the best? No, I've tried and raved other primers, but it's still a good buy!

And that's all for the Max Factor FaceFinity All Day Primer! Have you tried this product yet?

Cheers!
